What is Camelthorn firewood?
Camelthorn (Kameeldoring) is a dense Namibian hardwood. It burns hotter (up to 850°C), longer and cleaner than many common UK logs, with a distinctive bushveld aroma ideal for cooking and heating.
Is your wood ready to burn?
Yes. Our Camelthorn is naturally sun-dried in Namibia and supplied ready to burn — no kiln drying needed for efficient, low-moisture performance.
How is it sustainably sourced?
Camelthorn is a protected species in Namibia. We exclusively harvest deceased trees, supporting responsible forestry and local communities.
Bags or bulk — which should I choose?
Bags (10kg / 20kg) suit homes and smaller BBQs. Our 500kg bulk pallet is best value for restaurants, pubs, hotels and events.
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes — spend £195 or more and you get free next-day delivery within our local delivery area (about a 14-mile radius, managed by postcode prefixes). Outside that area, nationwide delivery is available with a delivery charge that depends on your location and order size.
How do I know if I am in the free next-day area?
See our Deliveries page for the local postcode prefixes, or enter your postcode at checkout. If you are in our local area and your order is £195+, you will see free next-day delivery. If you are local but under £195, we show how much more to spend for free delivery. Outside the local area, the nationwide fee is shown.
